After just over 3 weeks absence, a beautiful eastern screech owl arrived last night and settled in our treehouse. As it did not leave at dawn and appears hunkered down, maybe he or she will stick around and ready to raise a brood. Throughout the morning, he snoozed and did multiple preening sessions. It is exciting to have a visitor again. In 2021 the eso moved in on Feb 5 and stayed to raise four owlets, so this timing is similar.

On a frustrating tech note, the exterior camera went offline again unexpectedly, so at some point I will try to get it back online or swap it out. The outdoor rated camera does not like being outdoors in the rain, go figure.
